From Zoe at 2005-07-06 13:13:52 : Hi Phil, I like this one - really lovely colour contrast!
I've been looking for fields of poppies to photograph - any idea of any in the local vicinity?..
From PhilB at 2005-07-06 17:23:11 : I've been looking out for one myself but so far without success. I did see on another Photo Blog that there's a field near Wycombe that has lots of poppies in so I've sent a message to find out where it is.
From Freddie at 2005-07-08 23:58:59 : That is a cool photo. In someways looks unreal. Where was that one taken?
From PhilB at 2005-07-12 23:43:26 : Cheers mate. Was taken near to Furze Platt School, although going along there a couple of days ago I noticed that they were busy harvesting.
I think it was taken on the wide angle lens, and I also tweaked the saturation slightly to make the colours appear slightly stronger.
From at 2006-04-26 05:51:26 : OK it is a tough choice, but I would pick this one. There is something really serendipitous (is that a correct form of that word?) about it with the red contrast. V. Schroeder
From PhilB at 2006-04-26 22:47:15 : Thanks V. I've decided, based on the comments to go with this one for the Golden challenge.
From mooch at 2006-07-05 10:19:16 : Wow, this is beautiful Phil, just saw it on Tuesday Challenge. Spectacular. Lovely tones and detail. Truly a beautiful and poignant image
From PhilB at 2006-07-06 00:31:35 : Thanks Tobias. This one nearly made my Best of 2005 shot! ;-)
